Mizi Mohebby-Gardner’s journey into millinery began with instinct and passion.
Born with an eye for beauty and a deep love for horses, elegance, and the traditions surrounding them, her creative path was seeded early.
After moving from New York to the UK over two decades ago, she found herself captivated by the heritage and pageantry of British horse racing — particularly events like Royal Ascot.
But something was missing. The headwear she longed for simply didn’t exist — at least not in the way she imagined it. So, she created it.​

What began as a personal pursuit soon evolved into a signature style: timeless, detailed, and full of character. Compliments turned into requests, and requests into commissions.
With growing encouragement from those around her, Mizi Atelier was born.​
